Supply Chain Manager [Job Code: SCM-068]



Company Description:

One of our clients is engaging in the business of industrial gases, they are market leadership in the Industrial Gases / Healthcare businesses and its other related fields. Company has portfolio of three businesses - industrial and special gases, health care and welding products.



Job Summary:

To align the Supply Chains to deliver the business strategy through best in class supply chain management processes, tools and resources. Responsible for adding value and meeting agreed Product Service Offers to satisfy customer needs.



Primary Responsibilities:

Implement Supply chain Strategy in-country

· In conjunction with business development, develops a realistic Product Service Offer (PSO) based on researched customer needs

· Reviews and leads the change initiatives to align supply chain networks with business strategies and meet agreed PSO.

· Develops a strategy and leads the change initiative to ensure storage, production and transport activities are located on a site most suited for future business growth, providing the best mix of responsiveness and efficiency to satisfy customer needs, reduce risk and control supply chain costs.

· Transfers knowledge and ideas into and out of regional supply chain planning platform team.

Management of Supply Chain Process

· Determines capability gaps by assessing the supply chain process flows including marketing, new product development, sales, CSC, commercial, planning, supply management, warehouse, production, test shop transport operations and finance.

· Agrees with business management team processes which add value to the customer and develops strategy and implements plans to align process and systems.

Asset Management

· Collects daily asset stock levels differentiating empty, full or in the test shop and sets target asset stock levels.

· Collects daily asset stock levels and plans capital expenditure based on target asset stock levels.

· Transfers knowledge and ideas into and out of global Target Expert User Group



Inventory Planning

· Collects daily inventory, raw material and finished stock levels and sets target stock levels.

· Collects daily inventory, raw material and plans replenishment based on finished stock levels and stock target levels

· Transfers knowledge and ideas into and out of global Target Expert User Group.

Production Planning

· Collects historic demand levels and forecasted predictions and recommends production asset and resource levels

· Collects expected demand changes to plan production and test shop work. Amends daily plans once actual demand received.

· Transfers knowledge and ideas into and out of global COPS Expert User Group.

Transport Operations Planning

· Collects historic demand levels and forecasted predictions and recommends transport operations asset and resource levels.

· Collects expected demand changes to plan transport operations resource. Amends daily once actual demand received. Produces distribution plans, after CSC closes order taking and actual demand is known.

· Transfers knowledge and ideas into and out of global Visit Plus Expert User Group.

Communication of Supply chain Plans and Processes

· Leads weekly communications with the functions involved in the supply chain processes to communicate strategy, forecast, review Supply Chain Planning KPIs and resolve issues in the supply chain processes.

· Analyses plan vs. actual stock, production and delivery and cross check with DIFOT failure codes recorded. Co-ordinates solution team(s) to tackle root causes.

Financial Planning

· Sets budget and target KPI improvement with Head of Operations and Procurement Manager and relevant Sales / Marketing with input from Regional Supply Chain Planning manager.

· Ensures Supply Chain Planning function achieves its targets within the budget.

Organizational development

· Manages organizational development, including capability development and succession planning.

Skills / Qualification / Experience

· Degree in numerate discipline e.g. logistic, Engineering, Mathematics.

· 4 to 7 years related experience. Technical/Non-technical skills

Essential

· Excellent English language skills

· Supply chain management – understand methodology and techniques to apply it.

· Change management capabilities- Leadership, collaboration, tenacity, achievement drive and influencing skills

· Logical, step by step approach. - Initiative.

· Confident to train or present both complex and simplified material to internal and external groups

· Teamwork, transparency and collaboration. Actively share knowledge and solutions across local Operations team, Supply Chain Planning Platform primarily and relevant colleagues.

Desirable

· Experience assessing, changing and monitoring supply chains in a manufacturing or chemical industry
